Small groups empower people, invite discussion, and invite you into a deeper relationship with others, yourself, and God. They offer an invitation to be open, and connected, and even give and receive help in practical ways.
See below for current groups, with more to come after Easter 2023!Connect groups are small communities within our parish that gather to support one another. Some of these groups meet only for a short while, and others meet ongoing. Click on the tabs to see the groups meeting and/or forming now, and to email the group host.

If you are new to Christianity, or have been away for awhile, we also have a great starer course for you called Alpha. This welcoming and non-judgemental space starts with the basics and is for people who want to ask the big questions about life and God. It is offered in both English and Spanish. Email Steven Antonio at santonio@mqoa.org to learn more.
The Church has a long tradition of consecrating people and places to the service of God. One of the most beautiful is dedicating oneself to Jesus through the Blessed Mother, referred to as Marian Consecration. This 33 day prayer course leads you through the lives of four saints and their examples of devotion to Mary, Jesus, and the Church: St. Louis de Montfort, St. Maximilian Kolbe, St. Teresa of Calcutta, and St. John Paul the Great. The course follows lectures and the book by Fr. Michael Gaitley, 33 Days to Morning Glory.
Dates for the next group are coming soon. Click below to email organizer Kathleen to learn more.
Why do we have Mass? What is its purpose? What does the "Real Presence" of Jesus in the Eucharist mean? What is worship? Why should you care? Want to transform your experience of Mass into a deep encounter with Jesus? Bring your questions.
Hosted by Peter Gordon - email for ongoing meeting dates and times.

BETA are small groups where everyone is invited to hear, think about, and talk about the Sunday Gospels.
They always start with food, end with prayer, and in between those two, Beta group members learn, listen, share, think, and grow, guided through the upcoming Sunday's Gospel reading.
Beta lesson plans are published weekly, and YOU are invited to check them out and use them for your own growth in knowledge and faith.
If you would like to join an English language Beta group, information about group meeting days and times are available by contacting Christine Williams at cwilliams@mqoa.org.
¡Gracias!
