Growing up, my father would assign us to work to do and sometimes would not tell us why we were given the task. When we asked, “Why me?” he would say, “Because I said so.” The look on his face usually conveyed to us that that was reason enough.
My first sacrament at Immaculate Conception Church was my Baptism in 1987, and completing the sacrament of Matrimony there this July made our wedding day nothing short of magical. The planning process was seamless, and the ceremony was meaningful, intimate, celebratory, and entertaining.
We have many programs starting up in our parish this fall. I am pleased to say that—after a lot of advertising—the Alpha program began with a good group of people.
This weekend, we remember one of the more tragic days in recent history. The attack on the United States and the towers in New York were particularly shocking. Like many, I have stories of friends who lost family or were connected to the events of that day.
