Looking for those interested in assisting parents/guardians on their child’s baptism day.
Baptisms are MQOA occur during our Sunday Masses (9 am, 11:30 am & 5 pm) at Immaculate Conception Church or Sundays at 1:15 pm at St. James Church. Parents/guardians met with Steven about 6 weeks before, and the parents/guardians have been working on CLAIM, an at-home baptism preparation.
A member of the Baptism Team would aid Steven and Father in welcoming, guiding, and assisting all those who come to the baptism. You will be invited to assist at all Baptisms however, you can decline those that you can make attend.
Duties- Call on the Holy Spirit - pray for the child, parents/guardians, family and friends
- Create a welcome space - unlock doors, turn on lights, and reserve the pews
- Prepare the space - make sure everything is ready for the Baptism
- Welcome & Congratulations - guide guests to the reserve pews, inform them of our restrooms, and answer any questions they might have
- Work together – work with Steven, FM, and other team members in all duties
- Close the space - make sure the doors are locked, lights are off and everything is in place where it belongs
