In an urgent appeal, Cardinal Sean is asking SVdP to help collect donated winter coats, boots, socks, and other clothing items for families arriving in Massachusetts from warmer climates. The Cardinal has described this influx of immigrants as a major humanitarian and social crisis within the Archdiocese.
SVdP will soon place a collection bin in the parking lot at St. James Church for this purpose. Separately, collection boxes will be placed inside the Immaculate Conception Church for the collection of diapers, toothbrushes (adult and child size), toothpaste, soap, deodorant, mouthwash, combs, lotion, shampoo, washcloths, and Kleenex tissues.
For any questions, please contact SVdP at: 978-745-9060 option #3, or by email at svdp@mqoa.org or follow us on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/svdpsalem
The next SVdP meeting will be Monday, November 13 at 6:30 p.m. in the St. James Church Conference Room, you are invited to attend.
