One year, at a former parish, we learned that our college students who were returning home from their time at school with new questions about their faith; they had all been through 12 years of CCD, but when their friends in college asked them about their own religion, they didn’t have answers. We offered a short course for them, a brush-up on the basics of Catholicism, called “Wait…what??” and had great conversations with them around the core concepts of our faith and practice. Over the years I’ve developed and expanded the curriculum we used for WW, and have found that lots of Catholic adults have questions about our faith, and feel like they have forgotten all they learned (or never learned) at CCD. Now we use this course for people who are seeking to join the Church, but also for anyone who feels like they want to know more. We call it How To Catholic, and it starts this Sunday at 6:00 PM at Immaculate Conception church hall, and will run every Sunday at that time until Palm Sunday. Come and ask those questions, including… wait… what?
