As a parish, we are centered on the Eucharist and the power of God's love to heal our wounds through the Sacraments, fellowship, and prayer.
Our ministry is trauma-informed, and our goal is to provide an environment, relationships, and experiences which are safe and help with your exploration and growth. We seek to be welcoming of you where you are and how you are, and to always center on your needs.
We would love to accompany you in your journey of healing, whether you are a long-time Catholic, just learning about Jesus, or feeling lost. Below are some of the paths to healing which are available through our ministry.
Every Monday 6-7pm at Immaculate Conception in the chapel and by appointment
Many shy away from this beautiful sacrament, often noting that they express their sorrow directly to God. It can be difficult to admit one's faults to someone else. But those who do get the sacramental grace of Jesus' mercy expressed directly through another human being, the priest, and get to hear the beautiful words of forgiveness that close the sacrament.

Anointing of the Sick is a sacrament of healing that brings Christ’s strength, comfort, and healing to those who are suffering in spirit, mind, or body. It is for people of any age who are getting ready for surgery, those who are ill (physically, psychologically, spiritually), and for anyone near death. It can be celebrated anywhere, and it can be received more than once.
If you or a family member would like to receive the Anointing of the Sick

Brought to MQOA by Fr. Murray, The Five Keys is a model of healing prayer meant to guide people to deeper healing through Jesus. It is a safe, loving, and effective prayer model that helps people deeply embrace the Good News of the Gospel.
In these hour-long prayer sessions, the person is guided to make five prayerful responses to Jesus that release the power of the Gospel into their hearts. Each key helps to access God's grace and unlock the door to freedom from unhealthy behaviors and emotional bondage.
Those who have experienced this, especially at MQOA, testify to the life-changing healing that follows.

Every second Tuesday of the month at 7pm at Immaculate Conception church
Join us for a bilingual (English and Spanish) Mass, followed by healing prayer. Our team of priests and specially trained lay ministers will pray with you one-on-one. The Anointing of the Sick is also available for those in need.
Spiritual support can be an immense help in the face of depression, anxiety, trauma, and other mental health needs. However, we always recommend connecting with a licensed professional counselor, as well. Below are some of the top search sites for care, which you can filter by zip code, insurance, and other preferences. (click below)

Since the start of the pandemic, many counseling practices are full. We recommend in reaching out you always leave a message with your name, your insurance, and any daytime Monday-Friday availability you might have. If it is an option to email the therapist or practice, choose that over a phone call as therapists are more likely to respond.
"This is the mission of the Church: the Church heals, it cures. Sometimes, I speak of the Church as if it were a field hospital. It's true: there are many, many wounded! So many people need their wounds healed! This is the mission of the Church: to heal the wounds of the heart, to open doors, to free people, to say that God is good, God forgives all, God is the Father, God is affectionate, God always waits for us." - Pope Francis
With this, healing and evangelization are at the core of the mission of our parish. We offer many paths to healing and reconciliation, all rooted in the Gospel.
