August 5, 2021We’ve been doing MQOA Sunday for several weeks now, and we’ve had so much fun having “kitchen table conversations” with friends and members of our parish about the Sunday gospels. Every time we sit down with our guests, at some point in the conversation I think “oh no, they are secretly biblical scholars!! I thought this would be a casual conversation!”
And of course, none of our guests so far are biblical scholars; they’re just … interested. They’ve been curious about scripture, they’ve not only heard the stories of Jesus but have thought about them and prayed about them. They’ve found ways to take the scriptures personally, apply them to real life, and to learn more about Jesus through them.
